COACHING CONFLICT Policy
COACHing conflict Policy
The Core Rule: When two students from our program play each other in a tournament (singles or doubles), I will remain completely neutral and will not coach either player.
How It Works:
Pre-Match: I will offer equal encouragement to both sides and step away. You are responsible for your own warm-up.
During the Match: You must rely on your own problem-solving, AND ARE WELCOME TO ASK OTHERS TO COACH IN Between GAMES.
Post-Match: compete fiercely, but always shake hands at the END OF THE MATCH when it is over.
Match Review: I am happy to sit down with you after the tournament to objectively review the match and discuss areas for improvement.
For Parents & Spectators: Please keep cheering positive and respectful. Applaud good plays from both sides of the net to support the whole program.
